About Andrew

Dr. Andrew Harris is a consulting forensic psychologist in private practice in Ontario, Canada. He specializes in risk assessment of men with problems of a sexual and/or violent nature, including men experiencing problems with pornography and Child Sexual Exploitation Materials (child pornography). He gained clinical experience at Warkworth Medium Secure Institution (Correctional Service of Canada), the Oak Ridge Division (Maximum Security) of the Penetanguishene Mental Health Centre, and as a community Behaviour Management consultant and within an acute care community hospital (York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill). Andrew completed his formal education at York University, the University of Bordeaux III, France; the University of Calgary; and Carleton University. Andrew has written or contributed to over 40 published research papers on violence and sexual violence and often speaks on risk assessment for violent, sexual, and pornography offenders, psychopathy, high-risk offenders, and the history of prison architecture.

 

Andrew and his wife Tracey are both scuba divemasters and travel the world looking for warm water and bright fish, usually in the company of wonderful friends. When not under water, Tracey is a talented painter and Andrew plays in the percussion section in several bands and ensembles.
